Ombatse crisis: Two Eggon men killed in reprisal attack

In what looked like another round of bloodshed, no fewer than two Eggon youths were feared dead on Tuesday in the hands of people suspected to be Alago youth in Mararraban Obi, Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Ombatse Cult: Police officer admits membership of Ombatse cult

The officer shocked his boss when he admitted membership of the deadly cult.
The Ombatse member shot by soldier in Akwanga local government area of Nasarawa state wearing mobile police uniform has confirmed to the state police commissioner, Umar Shehu, to be a member of the police force.
The officer, who was questioned by the state police boss in Government House, kept mute when asked the whereabouts of his rifle.
He writhed in pain due to gunshots he suffered during an exchange of gunfire with the army.

Score 1: Ombatse cult leader in Adamawa killed by soldiers. NYSC withdraws corps members as tension rises.

LEADER of the Ombatse cult group, who led his members on a mission to Obi Local Council of Nasarawa State where scores were killed and property destroyed, has been killed by the army.
   His name could not be given as at press time but his body was said to have been taken to a hospital in Lafia, the state capital. Three of his fellow members who went on the same mission with him have also been arrested by the police and brought to the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Lafia.
   The Guardian gathered that the tension heightened when a Fulani mercenary allegedly killed an Eggon youth in broad day light after a heated argument at a drinking joint.
