Emergency officials in Niger confirmed the casualty
One week after scores of people died in a boat mishap in Niger State, another boat accident has occurred in the state causing the death of at least 18 people.
An official of the Niger State Emergency Agency, Mohammed Shaba, confirmed the latest accident on Saturday. Mr. Shaba said the boat accident occurred on River Niger.
At least 42 people died and more missing when a similar boat mishap occurred on River Niger close to Malilli Village in Niger on September 27.
